Obituary of Ross Clinton Teller
Ross Clinton Teller, PhD, 58, passed away on October 4, 2024.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 18, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76133.
Ross was born November 2, 1965 in San Angelo, Texas. The youngest child of William and Annie was loved by all. Due to the age difference, he almost had multiple parents in his eldest siblings.
SGT Ross C. Teller joined the Army as a 16T, US Army Patriot Missile Crewmember. My nickname for him was All In Teller as he never did anything halfway. While in the Army, he received the Army Commendation Medal the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Two National Defense Service Medals, a Valorous Unit Award, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, and a Kuwait Liberation Medal in addition to his expert marksman, sharpshooter/grenade, and overseas bar.
After his military service, Ross poured himself into his studies and career in education. He earned a BA and master’s in history from UTEP, a MS in library science from UNT, and MS in computer information systems from Tarleton State and a Ph.D. in Teacher Education with an emphasis on Instructional Technology from UTEP.
He was forever a learner and teacher. While he served in a variety of roles from teacher to director, his passion was helping students.
Of all his roles, son, brother, cousin, friend, co-worker, his greatest role was of dad. His greatest joy were his children Josiah and Carrie.
Of our almost 25 year friendship, my favorite memories of him are about his love for Joe and Carrie. They were his pride and joy.
