I remember the first day I met docs brother. I was downstairs at Tammy's house and he was talking about going to school in Michigan. I mentioned that my husband Mike went to school there also. And darned if they both didn't graduate from Ferris. He said he wasn't interested in the fraternities that were available so he started his own called Sigma guy. Even had a great logo. I couldn't wait to grab Mike and haul him downstairs to meet Doug. As you can imagine, with the two of them , their laughter near blew the roof. We will miss his zeal for life until we meet again. Sending lots of love to Gretchen, Doc and the entire Sigma Guy family. Bets and Mike Love

Douggie...My brother from another mother. We shared so many laughs together. There was a chemistry between us that couldn't be denied. We Loved hanging out and just creating laughs over some of the dumbest stuff. You were always there for me...You had my back and I yours.
What a honor to have you as a friend. You are a hero to me and so many others. You my brother will never be forgotten. If someone needed something you were always there to provide. You truly cared for people and felt their pain. What an amazing man you have been.
My heart goes out to everyone you touched, because they all are hurting today for kind of selfish reasons. Because we can not spend time with you like we used to. We all know someday we will all be together with the Lord. In the mean time I want you to know you will always be in my heart. All I have to do is close my eyes and I can see you and hear that famous grin and the Carman cackle. I love you brother. You are missed and will always be missed.
