It's hard to know where to begin but Lauraloo was a kindred who became a sister beyond the blood. She was such a vibrant, supportive, uplifting and creative soul who made me so many beautiful cards with well chosen and poignant quotes, and messages along with pictures that Oliver drew for me. She never forgot my birthday, happy or sad anniversaries and sent so many beautiful cards at Christmas, for Valentine's Day and for no particular occasion that lit a spark in the darkness.
I can't believe that you're not here in the physical plane Loorax but I will carry you with me always and never forget how brightly you shone. Love you so much xxoo

We will miss you my dear friend. You have touched more people then you even know. You are such a beautiful person with such a big heart. I just want you to know you are loved. My prayers for all of us in mourning. Until we meet again Lauraloo.

Lauraloo Patterson was my friend and sister for the last 25 years. We’ve grown up together, we’ve cried together and we’ve laughed together. I will never forget her laugh or her smile. She was always there for me throughout the years when I needed her most. No matter what was going on in her own life she was first to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. She always showed up in some of my darkest and hardest times. She would spend every birthday with me and all our closest girlfriends. She would always make me peanut butter fudge and her famous cheese log every year and make little art projects with Ollie that I would put on my fridge. Her favorite thing to do was laugh with and at me. We spent many high school days, college art classes, and nights laughing and snorting. We have gone through losses together and we have gone through triumphs together. Loo was so special to me and my heart and I will miss her so so much. I will miss wearing foil hats and sitting in my bathtub laughing about aliens, I will miss late night phone calls, listening to music and coloring, eating tacos, sharing memes about cats and penguins, I will miss her showing up and jumping on my bed and giggling till we passed out, I will miss her showing up at my door to cheer me up after a 15 year break up. I cherish so many memories with this sweet sweet friend. I am so glad she is not suffering anymore from all her medical issues. I know she desperately wanted to feel loved and be loved like how she loved others. Lauraloo I hope you know you were loved by many and will definitely be missed. Thank you for the joy and laughter you brought to my life. I will never ever forget our time together and I will cherish our friendship until I see you again. I love you Loo. Love Stin

The first time I met Laura, it was sometime in 2017, when I was working at Albertsons, which is located right across from her and her mom's apartments, she had noticed me wearing one of my Star Wars hats and she complimented me on it and I had also helped her out with her groceries and that was where our friendship had started. The one thing that made me so happy and so much better was when we would give each other, what I call, warm hugs. Because whenever she and/or I would be having a bad day, we would always comfort each other by doing that. And that's the sweetest thing that I loved about our friendship, what I loved about her. And another important thing is that she was like a sister to me. And I will miss you very much, Laura, but I will forever always love you, buddy.
