I grew up in the same block where he raised his kids. We would have long summer basketball games at his house and he welcomed everyone and treated us all the same. Was very sad to hear and I pray for his family. Thankful for the time I had to know him.

Carl and I were friends, classmates, & teammates at Forest Oak middle school, & at O.D. Wyatt high school. Carl & I were both, on the track & football teams. Carl was a great athlete with blazing speed, & pretty good hands as a receiver, he was a good defensive back also. I was always faster than Carl, until his broken leg healed in the seventh grade, after his leg healed, he became incredibly fast, and would beat me every time we raced. I would run into Carl on different occasions and we'd always take time to catch up. The success he had in the NFL did not change him, he would always go out of his way to greet me & show kindness. Carl will be missed. My prayers & condolences go out to his family, relatives, & friends, may GOD Bless, keep, & comfort you. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 18.

As I sit here and think about Carl. Not only does it remind me how precious life is also how the gift of life is. The impression that he put on me as a friend and a track alumni. The attributes that he contributed to the school by his character his spirit and his will to make everybody better around him. We must not forget about how precious a life is no matter what also we should not forget about that loving no matter in the time of Trials and trouble. It should not be only done in time of Celebration of death but also at the celebration of life. As a minister we must take charge in encouraging to encourage each one another in our family to live life to the fullest. As well as checkups and taking care of our health for preventive maintenance. Call will be missed but not forgotten God also has an Olympic track team in heaven waiting to use him as a coach in closing. Well done my good and faithful servant I will miss you love you always sister brother. Minister David and Veronica guess.
