I received word only today, so I regret that my response months late. I am so sorry to hear about Charlie passing. We spent a lot of time passing the bull back and forth at the Inliner's meetings and I always enjoyed the time spent with him. He was a good guy and I miss him already. So sorry for the loss to his family.

I am so sad to see that Charlie has passed. He was one of the really good guys. He shall be waiting for the rest of the class of 65 to welcome all of us--that was his way--always gracious and made you feel better to just see him. Many prayers and blessings for his sweet wife and family----he will be very missed but we will see him again---so happy he was in my life. Dianne

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I never met Charlie, but we exchanged correspondence for the past three years concerning old trucks & rigging up seat belts & such... he was always willing to help out with some issue & he made a huge difference in the lives of others.

Hello. I never met Charles in person, I only knew him as Cletis on the Stovebolt page, the old Chevy trucks forum, where he and I used to be the co-moderators in one of the forums. He was very knowledgeable on some of the old trucks and helpful to a lot of people. He will be missed on the site.

Charlie, Cletis, was always a genuine character whenever our paths crossed. I can't remember a single meeting with him that wasn't a positive, up lifting and happy encounter. We always looked forward to our yearly meeting in KC. There will be a definite void but he will not be forgotten. Condolences to June and everyone mourning,
Scott and Sherry Ward

Like many I never met Charlie but I knew him. We had a bit of an email conversation not long ago about his illness. Not much to say except my deepest condolences. I know how the family feels right now as I just lost my wife. Will catch up with you someday Charlie as we get together in that big truck event up there.

Although I never met Charlie in person, we had a lot of interaction over the internet regarding truck things and life things as well.
Charlie was a great guy and embodied the word "cool." Rest in peace, my friend.

Charlie's departure is a great loss to this world. He was one of the most genuine people you could know; he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it; he was my friend.
We have only the memory of this man to live on, and he will live on with all of us until we eventually join him. We lost a person who gave us all he had until his last breath, and for that I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to meet him and for his friendship.

I knew Charlie from his association with old GMC trucks. I had the good fortune to meet him in person at a truck show in Kansas and found him to be soft spoken and friendly.
Charlie was a smart mechanic and always willing to lend his counsel to others in the old truck hobby. We will all miss him. I offer my condolences to his family.

Charlie was a friend through Stovebolt.com, an old Chevy/GMC truck community. Charlie and June visited us a couple of times as part of our Smalltown Weekend celebration. Charlie was a Moderator for the General Truck forum on Stovebolt. He will truly be missed. May the family and especially June be at peace knowing Charlie is in the arms of his Lord. RIP Charles Hardin.
