Professor Evers was everything an advisor/teacher/mentor/friend could be. What he taught me in these capacities will never be forgotten. I would not be the person that I am today without his guidance and encouragement. He was special to all his students - guiding, leading and encouraging us all along to way to our careers. I am sorry we lost touch these last few years, but I have not - and never will forget him. My prayers are with you, Brenda, and all your family. I can only imagine how hard it is to let him go ... but another thing about him that I always admired was how he lived his faith. I know you will see him again - and there will be many of his students who will join you all one day in our Heavenly home. God be with you ... Kay

our hearts are broken with Byron's death and the sense of loss as dad, grandfather, husband, uncle, friend, teacher--all the multiple ways he shared and touched those around him. A good and generous man, he left an impact. We are so grateful for the love for our precious daughter in law Rebecca, we always remember her tribute at their wedding and knew that here was a special man. May God's love comfort and provide peace as you remember his life. Blessings to all his family.

What a wonderful man and what a lovely family he leaves behind. My condolences to all of you. I hadn't seen him much in the last years but so appreciated him putting the Evers Book together for our family.

Brenda & Family,
I am so sad for everyone. I loved this gentle man and so thankful he was my brother. We don't want to ever loose those we love and who loved us back. Grief weighs heavy in yours & our hearts. You Brenda saw and loved him throughout his challenges with so much strength and such a compassionate heart. Our children are a loving and supporting team inside our family and we feel so very blessed to have that gift.
here is another type of love shared between spouses. It is the one person who truly saw us day in and day out through the years with the imperfections each of us have and loved us still. Our partner that holds our hand and comforts and supports as we gifted each other with our hearts. Byron's struggles are over and now he is healed. When we see him again he will hear and we can celebrate together in a world we don't quite yet understand but have Trust and Faith in our Heavenly Father's promise of those that believe. Dear Family, that is his, please know that you are lifted in prayer as you walk a new and different path. May God comfort you in your sorrow.
