Carole you did your best, and your beloved son is now at rest.
I'll miss him so though I didn't get to know
I feel his whirlwind and undertow
I dread the days for me that lie ahead
the memories I missed of a life he led...
What a guy.

To the Mills family--
I met Austin in 2010 when i started working at Sports Authority. I didnt meet him right away, but i do recall our first encounter. I was working the frontend when he came and started to look up something on the computer for a customer; while he was doing that he introduced hisself and we got to chatting, we instantly became friends. Once i started to hang out with him more i came to realize that he instantly became friends with everyone he encountered. He seemed to know everyone, he just had this amazing energy that people were just drawn to. Of course how life is sometimes people drift in and out of your life and we havent talked in years up until about a year ago when i got a random call , semi late at night from an unknown number, generally i dont answer unknowns but i had a feeling i should. Come to find out it was him and i was extremely excited to hear from him. I always thought of him often and was excited that an old friend came back into my life. We were planning on hang out again at some point, but with our busy schedules it unfortnately it didnt get to happen again, but we did keep in touch via phone calls ot text messages. Im so so thankful for the years that i did get to know him and for the man that he was. I will remember his awesome laugh, the energy he brought and how incredibly smart and funny he was. The world lost an incredible human, and i will always remember him often and with fondness. I know there are never enough words to bring comfort into your hearts, but i am so incredibly sorry for your loss and i am putting you in my daily prayers.
I love you Austin, and ill miss you.

Darlene and I were so shocked and grieved to hear of Austin's passing. We had heard he was really starting to do well for himself, which makes this harder. No person this young should pass away. Rest in peace, Austin.

Dear Austin,
I am so proud to have known you, if only for a very short time. I am proud that you loved your Aunt Rosie and I so much and was so happy that we found each other and got married. You were such a gentle soul and kind spirit and I love you for the brave man that you were here on Earth. Now you are in Heaven with our Lord, in His loving arms and I am happy you are out of pain. God rest your soul and I know we will see each other again one day.
Love,
Kathy M.

I love you Austin. I never said it enough. You are the kindest heart, sweetest voice and a great soul. I pray you found the peace you needed, and happy that you don't face your demons anymore. So many people miss you so much, and you're barely gone. It's not real yet. I'll never forget your voice, or just sitting and watching movies. I'll never forget making fun of you, Josh and Aaron losing in COD!
But I'm yours to keep, I'll always remember you. Fly high, babe. ❤️

My dearest Austin:
As I am your mother's sister and your immediate aunt, I would like to say how very much I love you and am so very happy that you are in heaven and out of pain alongside your dad. I love you more than words can say and will never forget your laughter and the kindness you have shown my son Asa. You are free from pain now and that is to be celebrated as your life is to be celebrated. You have touched so many hearts and made a difference in my life and those that knew you. You will forever be in my heart and soul and I wish you god speed on angel's wings. I love you, Austin.

Carole,
I am at a loss for words. Austin was indeed a gentle soul. I have such wonderful memories of him and Charles during their middle and high school years. As your children grow up, you unfortunately lose contact with many of their friends, but all the memories came flooding back. My heart is broken for you. You and your family are in my prayers.
With love,
Cathy
