Alice Waldrup Hardin, 86, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. Service: 11 am Tuesday, First United Methodist Church of Grapevine, 422 Church St, Grapevine. Alice was born on October 10, 1930 in Denton to James Robert and Bennie Frances Waldrup. She was a 1948 graduate of Grapevine High School and a 1964 graduate of University of North Texas. Alice taught American History and Government at Grapevine High School from 1964 - 1990. She enjoyed sewing, needle work, reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Alice was a sports fan and watched the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, but, really enjoyed any sport her kids and grandkids played. She made the best Fried Chicken and homemade Peach Ice Cream. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, George Herbert Hardin, an infant grandson, and granddaughter Alison Hardin. Survivors: Children, Debby Stansell and husband Wade, David Hardin and wife Shari, and Rob Hardin and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Stuart Stansell and wife Julie, Stacy Law and husband Mark, Emily Reeves and husband Adam, Justin Hardin and wife Mary Martha, Jonathan Hardin, and Ryan Hardin; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Jordan and Linda Goss; brothers, Jerry Waldrup and wife Glendora and Jim Waldrup; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
