Sandy Adams King, 64, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Memorial Service: 3 pm Wednesday, 121 Community Church, The West End (west side entrance) Dr., Grapevine. Family and Friends are all welcome to come together afterwards at Kirby's Steakhouse at 4:30 pm, 3305 E State Hwy 114, Southlake, TX 76092. Memorials: Sandy was a remarkable woman! Her wish was that in lieu of flowers, that her friend's help support her grandson, Brandon Cotton, by donating to The Lighthouse Foundation, a 501(c)3 children's charity. There will be a restricted fund set up just to help with his future care. That sweet, special boy meant the world to her. All checks can be made out to The Lighthouse Foundation, P O Box 3481, Grapevine, TX 76009, please note it is for the Sandy King memorial fund for Brandon Cotton in the memo. Sandy was born on August 18, 1952 in Logansport, LA to Vernon and Norma Adams. She was a interior designer and involved in many organizations in and around Grapevine. Sandy was active with the Metroport Meals on Wheels and co-chaired their golf tournament with Byron Nelson in the past. She was also a member of the Grapevine Heritage Ambucs and the Miracle League of Southlake. Sandy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Son, Danny Cotton and his wife Donna; grandson, Brandon Cotton; sister, Vicki Pendleton; nieces, Katy Watson and Ainsley Watson; and Joe King.
