Ann Ervin surrendered herself to God’s call on Tuesday the 27th of December 2016. Celebration of Life: 10 a.m. Monday, January 2nd, at East St. Paul Baptist Church. Visitation: 4 - 5 p.m. Sunday, January 1st, at East St. Paul Baptist Church with a Wake beginning at 5 p.m. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. On November 7th, 1937, Ann Branch was born the second eldest of eleven siblings to Eddie Branch and Inez Bennett in Sulfur, Oklahoma. At the age of 13 she was blessed to meet the love of her life Maurice Ervin and in 1955 the two were united in marriage. From this union she also found love and fulfillment as a mother to three children, Robby, Dennis, and Julia. After relocating from Oklahoma to Fort Worth, she worked in anesthesia at All Saints Hospital. Sharing contagious laughter and joy at work, she discovered a passion for children. After retirement, her love for children never wavered. She’d go on to provide local child care for 20 years. Ann had a strong passion for serving. She was a member and president of the choir as well as president of the Deaconess’ at East Saint Paul Baptist Church. Several awards and recognition for the level of service were presented over the course of her membership. In her later years, her spirit of service extended to overseeing the Willing Workers ministry. Their actions ensured that families of deceased members where cared for in the aftermath. All who knew her could attest to her flare for fashion. She’d never missed a beat when it came to her attire and wouldn’t leave home without her lashes. She was eloquently sassy, strong, doing everything in excellence. Ann was a true believer in making something new again. Whether it was in her personal life and strong belief in Christ or repurposing things she’s acquired at “Rummage Sales”, nothing was beyond restoration. Her creativity and skill spilled over to the kitchen where she blessed her family with signature dishes she openly shared with her granddaughters. Among the survivors left to cherish her memory and celebrate her home going are: son, Robby Ervin (Ashley); grandchildren, Jashon Ervin (Brandi), Brian Ervin, Robben Ervin, Carmen Ervin and Antwon Ervin (Morgan); seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bert Hamilton, Curtis John Hamilton, and David Joe Green; four sisters, Mona Lisa Carter (Leonard, Joann Moore (John), Debra Woodard (Ronnie), and Gloria Marie Perry (Bill); and a host of other relatives, church family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Ervin; her two children, Julia Ervin and Dennis Ervin; parents, Eddie Branch and Inez Bennett and three siblings, James Edward Branch, Hearl Hamilton, and Edward Ray Green.
