Dru (as she was fondly known) was born October 5, 1944 to Ralph William Barnes and Priscilla May Hutchison. She grew up in a military family and spent her youth and into her teenage years living in Japan, Libya and various United States locations. In 1962, while her family was stationed in San Antonio Texas she met her best friend and the love of her life Dennis Falk. They were married on July 3, 1963 in San Antonio and then traveled to the LDS temple in Salt Lake City, Utah to be sealed together for eternity. They were blessed with 2 children - Cindy and Dennis Jr (DJ). After Dennis' own military service ended and some time was spent living and working in Ohio, Dru and her family moved to Fort Worth Texas in the summer of 1978; where Dennis had a long career at Lockheed Martin. Dru was a loving and compassionate woman. She was the essence of goodness. She was a true and loyal friend. Dru was always mindful of those around her and their individual circumstances. She had a knack of complimenting and encouraging at just the right times. Although she was housebound for the last few years she maintained her relationships through calls, letters, social media and Skype. Her influence for good extended through the generations as she encouraged her grandchildren to not only be good but to do good. Dru loved to sew, do arts and crafts, shop, bowl, play cards with the family and go out to lunch. She was a long time, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many different positions of responsibility throughout the years. She was instrumental in the set up of the Family History Center located in the LDS church on Alta Mesa Blvd in Fort Worth and co-directed that center with her husband for 14 years. Among her many accomplishments was her great work and love for genealogy. She researched and work with family members to identify and record generation upon generation of her ancestors. Dru also participated in personally indexing hundreds of thousands of records and was appointed as an arbitrator in this work due to her accuracy and proliferation. Dru is beloved and will be greatly missed by her family. Dru was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Priscilla Barnes, sister Lynn Barnes, nephew Larry Caudill Jr and niece Tiffany Atkinson.
