Darlene Langas, was reunited in heaven with Gus, husband of 56 years as she departed peacefully on Friday, September. 9, 2016 after fighting her battle against Alzheimer’s.
Service: A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28th at St. Peter & St. Paul Anglican Church, 3900 Morris Lane.
Memorials: Donations may be made in her honor to the St. Peter & St. Paul Memorial fund.
Darlene was born on January 11, 1936 to the late James and Henrietta McPhail in McAlister, Oklahoma.
Darlene was an active member of the St. Peter & St. Paul Anglican Church in Arlington where she served actively on the altar guild. She loved to garden, dance, community service, the Texas Rangers, and being with family and friends.
After years of being a wonderful mother and homemaker she returned to the workforce and retired from University Texas at Arlington where she worked accounting for the student center and housing.
Darlene was truly an angel and blessing to everyone that knew her.
Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Christi Langas; son, Jeff Langas and wife Cherie; grandson, John Landry Langas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams all of Arlington; brother, James McPhail of Tampa, Florida and many cousins and relatives in Oklahoma and Alabama.
