I don't know what to say. Terry was special and extraordinary and good. I missed seeing him each day, and wanted to work with him again. I tried to convince him several times and considered following him.

I met Terry in the mid nineties, when we both worked for Controls Systems International. He and I worked on a great number of projects together over the 20 years or so that I knew him. There were times when I was frustrated by the way he did things, until he explained to me that he learned and understood things through the Gestalt Method. I remember nodding my head and saying something to the effect that I "I understand" I went and looked it up later and then I did understand him. He didn't have the greatest of what most call "people skills" , I considered him as somewhat of a savant. Because of this I often described Terry as a "Very Unique" individual. Back in the day we spent many hours sitting on a bucket commissioning a building together. He was a great controls technician that took pride in his work. As a Project Manager I knew that anytime Terry was on my project I didn't have to worry, he could and would overcome any obstacle to "make it right", so long as he had a sufficient supply of Dr Pepper to fuel him. Farewell my friend, it was great knowing you.

Terry was my best friend both in the Navy and in private life. We were friends for over thirty years. We traveled from Alaska to the South China Sea and back again to Hawaii.
We had many a lively discussions (some rather heated) over many topics, sometimes taking an opossing view just for the sake of arguing. But we always remained friends.
I feel that Terry was as much of a brother as a friend. I will dearly miss him and think often of him.

I worked with Terry in two different places through the years, and I never met a guy like him. His customers loved him. His coworkers respected him. He always got the job done.
Terry was born thinking outside the box. He was innovative, witty, and efficient. No problem was too big for him. He was a go to guy.
I will miss him.
Goodbye Terry.....
