Obituary of Jonathan Wright Turner

Jonathan Wright Turner, 54, declared his independence from this earthly realm on July 1, 2016. He passed away while surrounded by his family as “The Beatles” sang him home. Interment will be private, but some of his ashes will be smuggled to Paris, where they will be sprinkled in Pere Lachaise Cemetery over the graves of Balzac, Molière and Proust. Jon was born on April 12, 1962, to Louie Franklin and Betty Wright Turner. He attended R. L. Paschal High School, and graduated from Texas Christian University. He played University Little League and Pony League baseball. He also played baseball for Paschal. A voracious reader, Jon was extremely well-read, including books written in French. He was a true scholar. Jon was a world traveler, with France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom being favorite destinations. He worked for a number of years at Ken Dick & Associates before starting his own business. Jon battled Crohn's, a devastating disease, for over 30 years. He was beloved by his family and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Patrick Andrew Turner. He is survived by his brother, Louie Franklin Turner, Jr. (Rhonda); sisters Betty Rene Pacheco (David), and Jackilyn Sue Turner; nephews Michael David Pacheco (Crystal) and Patrick Andrew Pacheco (Macey); niece Katy Rene Pacheco; great-niece Emma Renae Pacheco; great-nephews Noah Michael Pacheco and Ryan Andrew Pacheco; uncle Dr. Jack L. Turner (Barbara); and numerous cousins.
