Joel was born on February 16, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to C.M. and Mammie Jinkerson. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. Joel was nicknamed Rabbi by his son’s congregation. He loved to study the word of God, and loved to read and write. Joel was an Electrical Engineer, Church of God licensed Minister and Evangelist, and an Author. He proudly served in the United States Army. Joel was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Daughter, Rachel Dover and husband Stefan; son, Joey Jinkerson and wife Markell; grandchildren, Isaiah and Luke Dover, Ashtin, Austin and Anna Jinkerson; brothers, Melton Jinkerson and wife Myrtis, Bob Jinkerson, John Jinkerson and wife Nelda, and David Jinkerson and wife Cynthia; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and his church family.
