Nathaniel Quarterman, Sr., 81, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at home surrounded by his Family. Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015, Inspiring Temple of Praise Church, wake will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home. He was born on March 14, 1934 in Savannah, GA to the late Nathan and Mazie Quarterman. Nathaniel joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and retired after 23 years at the rank of Tech Sergent. He also retired as a custodial supervisor from the Tarrant County Community College. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Edward Quarterman and Edwin Quarterman. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leeta Quarterman; four children, Vickey Sprauve, Nathaniel Quarterman, Jr. and his wife Blanche, Jonie Payton, and Timothy Quarterman, Sr. and his wife Sheila; 13 grandchildren, Aisha Quarterman, James Taylor, Tracy Taylor and his wife Cynthia, Nathaniel Quarterman, III, Kim Tanksley, Regina Tanksley, Regina Pope, Jeremy Jones and his wife Shawnita, Robert Clark and his wife Cynthia, Tim Quarterman, Timothy Quarterman, Jr., Roshawn and Tawana; 7 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tatum and Tori Pope, Timothy Quarterman, Julian Clark, and Camden and Carson Taylor; and a host of other family and friends.
