we didn't get a chance to meet his children but Robert was a great friend to my sister in law Louann Nagle and her family we were lucky to get to know him over the past 15 yrs with our many trips to Texas. he was a great man. we are so very sorry for your loss,thoughts and prayers to all of you.

Robert was a good man. One time while I was about 30 min away at work, my wife called me and said that my daughter thought she saw someone in her bedroom. I called Robert, who hadn’t known us for too long, and he ran to my house, Sidney opened the door and he cleared the house room by room. When I got home he was waiting for me and said that he had cleared the house and there were no tracks outside any of the windows. Selfless. Another instance of his sincere kindness was when my wife’s car had really bad tires. They were very close to bursting. He asked me about them and I told him that I would get them replaced when our tax return came in. He said he would pay for the tires and I could pay him back. He woke me up one Saturday morning and we went to Cowsers and he paid for four good tires. When we got our tax refund I paid him back. Plus about $40. He promptly came over and gave me back the money I overpaid him. I told him that it was a thank you but he freakin refused it. “ you don’t make money off of your friends “. Robert was the kind of man you want in your life. He rarely asked for help but was always the first one at your door if he thought you might need anything. That Old Geezer will forever be remembered and missed. RIP

Robert was a good man. He raised his sons well. Robert was always willing to help anyone with anything. Robert had a good heart and was a kind man. I will miss his friendship. God bless Robert and his family.

Robert is truly missed not only by his family but by his many friends. Robert and I became good friends the day my friend Pam Yarbrough introduced him to me as her "partner in crime". They were a good match together. Robert would help you anyway he could. He was a cancer warrior. He was there for Pam during her long battle with cancer and became the mom/dad to their boys when she passed away in 2011. He was a good friend to me and I will miss him.
