Obituary of Betty Jo Ramos
Betty Jo Ramos, 92, passed away peacefully in Fort Worth on January 3, 2025.
Betty Jo was known for her love of life and her thoughtful nature. Easter was always her favorite holiday, but she also cherished Thanksgiving, as it was close to her birthday.
A hallmark of Betty Jo’s generosity was her heartfelt greeting cards. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion, always sending a card to let loved ones know she was thinking of them. Up until the last two years, she continued her tradition of mailing Christmas cards, a gesture that was deeply appreciated by all who received them.
She was a devoted and loving aunt, always staying in touch with her nieces and nephews, making sure they knew how much they meant to her.
She is survived by her son, Gary Haney and wife, Denise; daughter, Lori Choate and husband, Danny; granddaughters, Angela Butwid and Andrienne Haney; grandson, Zachery Haney; and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Penelope.
Betty Jo endured the heartbreaking loss of her youngest child, her daughter Debbie Haney, in November 2021, and her eldest son Denny Haney, in February 2022.
Her family and friends will hold her memory close, remembering her for the love she so freely gave and the connections she worked hard to maintain throughout her life.
