Obituary of Michael Dwight Williams
Michael D. Williams of Grapevine, Texas, was born on March 19, 1945, in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma, and passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2024.
Mike leaves behind wife, Jean (Holzbeierlein) Williams; daughter, Abby (Williams) Morgan; son-in-law, Grant Morgan; and cherished grandchildren, Maxwell and Charlotte. Mike is also survived by sisters, Mary Jane Pope, Patricia McCortney, brother, Jim Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vinston and Marika Chaharyn Williams, also recently nephew, Matthew McCortney.
Mike worked in the Dallas insurance industry for forty years and was a partner at Maxson, Mahoney, Turner . He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. OU football was not to be missed. Weekly, he attended Monday Morning Bible Study where he was a member of White’s Chapel Methodist Church. Retirement gave Mike plenty of time to enjoy his favorite sport, golf, with his best golfing buddies.
Mike was a kind, caring person with a terrific sense of humor and a great love for family and friends.
A private inurnment for family will be held on February 7, 2025, at White’s Chapel Columbarium Gardens. Following the inurnment, family and friends are invited to a reception at noon that day celebrating Mike’s life. (location to be determined later).
