Grandma Sugarbum,
I remember one time you came to my elementary school for Grandparents day. I was so excited to have you there. We ate cookies and read stories and I showed you off to my friends. I was so disappointed for them that they didn't have a fun, sweet grandmother to visit their class like I did. But by the end of the day, I wasn't ready for you to leave, so I pretended to be sick so that I could go home with you. I don't know if you believed that I was sick, but I hope you understood the reason I did that wasn't because I wanted attention, it was because I didn't want to say goodbye to you just yet. I feel the same way now. I would call in sick today if it meant I could spend the day with you.
I love you and miss you already.
