Mark and I worked together for 5 years and he left a lasting impression on all that met him with his smile and huge heart. He was a man that served his county proudly and gave his all to help Homeless Veterans succeed. You will be truly missed.

I came to work at the same VA as Mark and got to know him but a few months. Mark easily made an impression as someone who was diligent in his work and always willing to learn. He certainly had the best attitude and always had a smile every morning. Mark will be missed dearly by all those that knew him here, staff and Veterans. Rest in Peace.

I remember talking to him at work a few days prior and as usual we were laughing about something, He was making so many changes to better himself and working hard at it. This world can be very hard to live in and I am glad that he's now up there making other's smile! There's just a little more joy in heaven now! We'll miss you Mark!

Here's a man that would not go down. I've knew him for 10 years and had him as a co-worker for 7 of those years. He had always came out on top with each and every challenge he faced. He was always trying to make everybody else's life better and was happy when they would leave him the scraps they did not want. It just has to be a dream that he is gone and I want to wake up to see him giving away all that he had.
Rest in peace my friend.

Mark and I were the same age and fellow Marines. I only met Mark when we started working the same week at the VA but he certainly carried on the tradition of Semper Fidelis, or Always Faithful, the Marine Corps motto. He worked at the VA in service to his fellow Veterans, where he was diligent in his efforts and big-hearted in his unhesitating generosity. I will miss seeing Mark in the office hallways. At ease, Devil Dog, rest easy.
