Obituary of Donald Lynn Solomon

Donald Lynn Solomon, 65, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Service: 10 am Thursday, Gateway Church, 700 Blessed Way, Southlake, where the family will be present from 9 am - 10 am. Interment: 12:30 pm Thursday, Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or the American Diabetes Association 1701 North Beauregard Street Alexandria, VA 22311. Donald was born on April 16, 1949 in Fort Worth to Julius and Rachel Solomon. He attended Gateway Church. Donald enjoyed movies, target practice, travel and watching T.V. Corporal Donald L Solomon proudly served in the United States Marines. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In this life there's nothing greater than knowing the love of the Lord. Uncle Donny was called home Saturday, May 17 to be with his Lord and Savior. What a blessing to know that before he drew his last breathe he accepted Christ into his life. Even though our family has lost a ,Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and friend it is so great to know he isn't suffering any more. As his Mother's prayers through the years was for her children and family to know the Lord. As she has prayed this prayer in time God promised her this answer. I can only imagine the smile on her face, his Dad and brother. God's love for his children is so amazing and powerful even in the midst of it all he is always there with us. You will be greatly missed by us all, but I know we will all be together again soon. We love you Donny. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Rachel Solomon, and his brother, James Nelson Solomon. Survivors: Wife, Consuelo Solomon; son, Donny Lynn Solomon; daughter, Pamela Lynn Solomon; brother, Ronald Solomon and his wife Tommie; sister, Sondra Kile; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
