Obituary of Wanda Lou Beasley

Please share a memory of Wanda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wanda Lou Beasley, 83, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 29, 2024, in Arlington, Texas, encompassed by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

Born on April 12, 1941, in Marionville, MO, Wanda was the treasured daughter of the late William and Irene Yost. She shared a special bond with her twin sister Wilma, as well as her elder sister Shirley and youngest sister Joyce. A proud graduate of Hazelwood High School in 1959, Wanda began her career in Missouri before her journey led her to Texas, where she would build a life filled with love, courage, and resilience.

In Arlington, Wanda married Don Jones, and together they welcomed two beloved sons, Eric and Jeff, who became the center of her universe. In 1974, Wanda bravely returned to her career as a single mother, rising to the position of Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Ticor Title Insurance Company in downtown Fort Worth. She continued to thrive in her career and was very proud of the multiple roles she held within the Insurance and Banking industry until her retirement. Her professional accomplishments were a testament to her strength, determination, and unwavering dedication to her family, as she worked tirelessly to provide for them.

Wanda's faith was a guiding light in her life. As a devoted member of the Methodist Church, she met and married her second husband, Bill Beasley. Together, they enjoyed many adventures and created cherished memories before parting amicably. In her later years, Wanda found joy in writing poetry, participating in a prayer circle, and nurturing her deep, abiding love for her children. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she encountered, and her belief in the power of love and family was evident in all she did.

Wanda is survived by her beloved sons, Eric and Jeff, and her cherished grandchild, Sidney. She was predeceased by her twin sister Wilma and her younger sister Joyce.

A private family service was held in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 2, 2024, at Thompson & Son Chapel. In honor of Wanda's generous spirit and deep care for the most vulnerable, donations in her memory can be made to No Kid Hungry.

Wanda will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her radiant smile, boundless generosity, and steadfast devotion to her sons, grandchild, and friends. Her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in all our hearts.
