Please share a memory of Hazle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Hazle Marie Williams, 76, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024. Born on April 17, 1948, Hazle lived a life full of love, strength, and faith. On this day, we say goodbye to a lifelong best friend, and mother. She left this Earth and was called home by Jesus to reunite with Our Heavenly Father and her parents, children, and family who have preceded her in death.

Though she faced many health challenges, especially after falling ill in February 2024, we cherished these past seven months together. With inoperable heart conditions and blockages in her veins, we knew this day was coming, but I am grateful to have been by her side, nursing her back to health, caring for her, and sharing moments I will forever treasure.

During this time, she found comfort in her faith, and together with my dear friend Kass Robertson Kubes, I had the privilege of baptizing her. We prayed often—morning, noon, and night—and spent time reflecting on the love of Jesus. Even on my busiest workdays, we would speak, and I would hug her and tell her how much I loved her every chance I got. In her eyes, I was a hero for saving her life back in February, but in reality, she was my hero, loving me long before I was born.

Hazle was a devoted mother, even when we had our differences. In the past few months, we created memories I will carry with me always. We shopped together, laughed together, and even had a memorable adventure when I accidentally locked my keys in the car, and her oxygen machine ran out. The fire department came to help, and while it was a little chaotic, it was a day filled with love and laughter.

We visited Windstar Casino twice, where she was thrilled to come home a winner. It wasn’t just about the winnings—it was the joy of the experience, of sharing time and happiness with her. She was so proud to finally win, even if she was a little embarrassed by the noise of the flashing machines. After doctor’s appointments, we’d grab lunch or shop, and when we weren’t together, we sent videos and messages, always connected.

In these last months, she showed me more love than I ever knew possible. She would say, “I’ve loved you longer,” and I felt that love, stronger than ever, up until her final day. I love you, Mom, and I will carry that love with me always. Until we meet again, keep loving me longer, and know that I love you more.

Hazle Marie Williams is survived by her family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
