Obituary of Sherry Gayle Bolyn

Sherry Gail (Stults) Bolyn the daughter of Larmon and Gladys (Smith) Stults was born on July 1, 1951, in Weatherford, Tx. Sherry went to be with Jesus, her husband, and her family in heaven on June 25, 2024, with her loved ones by her side.

Sherry was the most fun-loving person. She always tried to look on the bright side of things. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer and in her Lord and Savior. Her favorite bible verse was “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

In her early years Sherry worked at Jamak then she started a daycare out of her home. She babysat many children through the years loving them all as her own. Some of them, once grown, brought their children to her to babysit.

Sherry had several hobbies, she was an amazing cook, her tuna was the best. Sherry loved to cook big meals for her family and anyone who came to visit, you never left hungry. She loved to crochet until she no longer could then she found a new hobby, coloring. Sherry and her sister, Darlene would color together over the phone. She colored many beautiful pictures. She loved to play Skipbo and watch the Rangers play ball. Sherry loved animals and always had several dogs because William would bring home a stray and she just couldn’t say no. She even had a pot belly pig for a pet once. Most of all Sherry loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Sherry and her sister, Darlene Procter were very close and talked on the phone several times a day and always ended their day with a phone call to tell each other goodnight and that they loved each other. As their health declined, they told the family that when their time came, they would go together. Darlene passed on June 19, 2024, and Sherry followed her two hours short of being a week apart.

Sherry married the love of her life, William Bolyn on her birthday July 1, 1969, and they had almost 53 years together. They had two beautiful girls together.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents Larmon and Gladys Stults, her husband William Bolyn, sister Darlene Procter, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law that were more to her than just in-laws.

Sherry is survived by her daughters Sadonia Bolyn of the home, Shanna Castro and husband Jesse of Grahm, Tx., The third daughter Lisa Lanier of Weatherford, TX., Three grandchildren, Morgan Etheredge and husband Leighton of Cresent,Tx., Katilyn Reyes and husband Fio of Weatherford, TX., and Ignacio Bolyn of the home. Five great grandchildren, Layla Benton, Leah Bolyn, and Logan Beetler of Cresent,TX., Alaina Bowens and Matthew Reyes of Weatherford, TX., Two brother-in-laws, Robert Proctor of Weatherford, TX., Ray Bolyn and wife Barbara of Stilwell,Ok., Three sisters-in-law Donna Long, Margie Teehee, and Jennie Storm all of Stilwell,OK., Many nieces and nephews and a longtime family friend Richard Brooks of Weatherford, TX.
