North Richland Hills, Texas - Ellen Cecelia Easterling Blume was born in Perry County, Mississippi, on December 27, 1939, to Luther B. Easterling and Ava L. Hood. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas, in 1955, where she made her home until 1979, when she relocated to Ruidoso, New Mexico. Ellen returned to Texas in 2020 and North Richland Hills became her final residence, where she peacefully passed away at her home on May 19, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Blume, parents, son Carl E. Baker Jr. and his wife Elaine, as well as sisters, Emma Easterling, Clyde Dennis, Ruth Wyborney, Earle Roman, Elma Graves, Ethel Easterling and brothers, Claude Easterling, Louie Easterling, Elmo Easterling & Ervin Easterling. Surviving her are several family members, including her son James (Cindi) Baker and daughter Rebecca Cabe. Also, surviving her are sisters, Elva Lewis of N. Richland Hills, TX and Elna Wilson of Azle, TX and her brother Emmett Easterling of Richton, Mississippi and grandchildren, James A. Baker, Erik Baker, Tiffany Cox, and Amber Baker, and four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellen's impact extended beyond her family circle; she touched the lives of many friends who will cherish her memory. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
