Obituary of Judith "Judy" Ann Beiber Pilliod
Judith "Judy" Ann Beiber Pilliod of Fort Worth passed away peacefully on Sunday April 21, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born to June Elizabeth Smith Beiber and John Ellwood Beiber in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Judy lived in Iowa until her family moved to Dallas when she was twelve years old. While in Dallas she played drums in the junior high band and was a member of the drill team in high school. Her family then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she spent her senior year of high school.
She missed the friendly people in Texas and selected North Texas State University for college. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and her senior year was named the “Outstanding Marketing Student of 1963” and elected “Top Coed on Campus”. She was also the first female President of a university Marketing Organization in the United States.
Judy was married in 1963, had her only child Lisa in 1964, and was a full-time wife and mother. She was always involved in her daughter’s activities as a volunteer, chaperone, or helping out where needed. She was divorced in 1976 and started working full time as an executive recruiter. In 1982, she became the Director of Student Accounts at Texas Christian University until she retired in 1999.
Following retirement, Judy enjoyed being a Mimi to her granddaughter Megan, attending TCU sporting events, gardening, and walking. Her daughter and granddaughter were the joys of her life.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Weiershausen and husband Marsh; and granddaughter, Megan Vidrine and husband Aaron.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
