Obituary of Shannon Miller

Please share a memory of Shannon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shannon Martin Miller, 55, of Trophy Club, Texas - a loving wife, mother, and sister - passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 17, 2024. She was born on August 13, 1968, in Augusta, Georgia, the first of two daughters to Warren and Patricia Martin.

Shannon grew up in Augusta and graduated from Augusta University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She began her career with the March of Dimes, serving as the Community Director of East Central Georgia. Most recently, Shannon worked as an Account Manager in the promotional products industry for Branding Resources in Grapevine, Texas.

Shannon married Jonathan Miller on May 11, 1996, at Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church in Augusta. Their children, Zachary and Gracie, were both born in Augusta prior to the family’s relocation to Texas in 2003. In July 2004, they bought a home in Fort Worth, Texas where they raised their children, joined Fellowship of the Parks Church, and made lasting memories with their cul-de-sac neighbors and now lifelong friends.

Shannon loved to travel. She especially enjoyed beach vacations to Hilton Head and Fripp Island with her family and childhood friends. Equally cherished were the biennial Miller family ski trips to Crested Butte, Colorado, where she celebrated Christmas with the entire Miller family.

In 2020, Shannon and Jonathan moved to Trophy Club where they joined Trophy Club Country Club. Having never swung a club in her life, Shannon discovered a love for golf, and dove headfirst into learning to play. More importantly, she bought all the outfits and made many new friends who welcomed her irrespective of golfing ability.

Shannon was predeceased by her parents Warren and Patricia. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, her son Zachary and wife Aishia, her daughter Gracie, her sister Stacie Hunter (Doug Hunter), parents-in-law Ray and Patricia Miller, brothers-in-law Tom Miller (Catherine), Bill Miller (Lisa), Patrick Miller (Dani), along with her numerous nieces and nephews.
