Obituary of Helen Marie Wolfe

Helen Marie DeRosia Wolfe, 86, of Crowley, Texas passed away on April 1, 2024 at her home in St. Francis Village.

Services: A visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on April 8, 2024 at St. Francis Village Catholic Chapel 4125 St Francis Village Rd, Crowley, TX 76036 with Fr. Ken Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to St. Francis Village Catholic Chapel. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who came to celebrate her life.

Helen Marie DeRosia was born Apri14, 1937 to William and Myrtle DeRosia. She was the 9th of 16 children. She was born in Maple Township, Douglas County, Wisconsin. She married Richard M. Wolfe on March 21, 1964 and they lived and raised their family in Davenport, Iowa.

Helen enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards, fishing, bowling and being around family. She loved life, enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She loved to watch the wildlife. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and friend. She loved the title GiGi (great grandma). She was a proud member of the St. Francis Village Catholic Chapel Altar Society.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; 13 of her siblings, her husband; and three great grandsons.

Helen is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Scott and Rose Marie Ranthum; children; Julie (Mel) Miller, Lennie (Becky) Hamm, Susan Forgie, Micheal Wolfe, Brian (Marji) Wolfe; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
