Obituary of Norma Jean Cook

Norma Jean Cook, 75, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Ft. Worth, TX 76133. Norma was born on September 1, 1938 in Fort Worth to Charles and Sarah Cook. Her family was always first in her life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and helping others. Norma will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Norma was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Charles Parker; her parents, Charles and Sarah Cook; her brother, John Richard Cook; and her sisters, Patricia McGovern and Sharon Hilbert. Survivors: Daughters, Dinah Joy Parker-Myers and husband Dave Myers, and Lori Jean Coomer; son, Johnny Keith Parker and wife Donna; brothers, Charles Jack Cook and Jimmy Bert Cook; sisters, Lorraine Bryant and husband John, and Vicki Jo Cook; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
