Obituary of Dedria LaShay Lacey

Dedria Lacey was born on March 14,1964 in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of David Robinson Sr. and Ollie Sanders. She attended the Fort Worth Public Schools graduating from Northside High School Class of 1982, where she became a faithful member of the drill team.

She also was a cheer coach for Diamond Hill football league. She enjoyed socializing and family gatherings.

She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age becoming a member of Greater Worth Hill Baptist Church. 

She was employed by the Fort Worth State School for many years, later becoming a supervisor for a group home where she loved them so much that she would take them everywhere she loved taking care of others. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her parents .

 In 2005, she became ill and her loving and special Aunt Bobbie D. Holmes became her caregiver until the Lord saw fit to send his angels to receive her on January 21, 2024.

She leaves the cherish her memories, son, Willie Ray Lacey Jr. daughter, Erica Wright; brother, David Robinson,Jr.; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; aunts, Bobbie Dee Holmes, Helen Proctor and Thomas, Iva Ann and A.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends and her neighborhood friends.
