Obituary of Joseph Robert Macrillo

Joseph "Joe" R. Macrillo of Fort Worth, Texas formally of Boston, Massachusetts passed away December 17, 2023. Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts to the late Eleanor (Boles) and Pasquale Macrillo on September 19, 1962. An Army Veteran, Joe proudly served in the United States Army. Following his time in the Army, Joe worked for First National Bank and the United States Postal Service.

Joe was an avid Boston sports fan, especially proud to always cheer on the Red Sox and Patriots, even after his move to Texas from Boston he remained loyal to all of his hometown teams. During the years Joe spent in Texas he enjoyed spending time with his Coleman Street childhood best friend, Thomas (Tommy) Buchanan and his wife Kelly, hosting his family for visits and soaking up the warm Texas weather. Trips back to his hometown always included the Encore Casino and spending time visiting with his family and friends. Joe was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and who valued the connections he made with others above all else. 

Joe is survived by his son, Ryan Macrillo, his siblings Rosemarie Chin and her late husband Mark, Bernard (Bernie) Macrillo, Patricia (Patsy) Macrillo, Margaret Macrillo, Joan Seiders and her husband Russ, and his sister-in-law Janet Santa Anna. Loving uncle of Christina, Patrick and Meghan and proud great uncle of Max and Lilly. Joe is also survived by and will be missed by his extended family members and friends.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date, followed by interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts.
