Obituary of David Brown
David Middleton Brown, 92, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, was born on December 2, 1930, and slipped away from our family on September 12, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
David was born in Aledo, Texas to Erwin Alexander Brown and Clara Smyth Brown, who were also native to Aledo. He lost his older sister, Norma Lucile Brown Miller in 2013, of Fort Worth, Texas.
David’s Great-Grandfather, Thomas Brown is who donated the land that we now know as the Aledo Brown Cemetery in 1858.
David married Barbara Ann Norris on October 16, 1954. They have two sons: Ted Ray Brown and Rodney Middleton Brown.
David graduated from Weatherford High School in 1949 and went on to play football for Texas Tech. He became a pilot in his later years, and enjoyed flying his 1946 Ercoupe 415C.
David’s beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Brown proceeded him in death in August 2018; his parents; Erwin A. Brown (1899-1969) and Clara L. Smyth Brown (1901-1979); sister; Norma L. Miller (1929-2013) and his son; Ted Ray Brown (1957-1977).
Survivors include his son; Rodney Middleton Brown and wife, Kim Brown; granddaughters; Mica Brown, Tiffany Mays and Shannon Mays; brother in laws; Byron Miller (97), Kenneth Norris and wife Becky, Charlie Malone, along with being blessed with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family members.
