Obituary of Sharon Richter

Sharon Ann Richter, born April 30, 1953, in Marlin, Texas, passed away, May 25, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas at John Peter Smith Hospital. 

She attended Lake Worth school district and was very popular in school. One of her best friends was Eva Pearson. 

On August 16, 1969, Sharon married airman, Martin E Richter, they traveled all over the country, and even to Tehran, Iran when the Shaw of Iran was being overthrown. That 14-year marriage produced two children, Matthew Martin Richter, and Michele Lyn Richter. After her divorce, she relocated back to Fort Worth Texas to continue her career in the banking industry. 

On July 9, 1989, Sharon was in a horrible car wreck where she sustained closed head injury and spent months in the trauma unit. She then spent many months in a rehab facility in Tyler Texas. Margie Norris over saw her care and look after her for many years, although very trying at times Margie was very protective of her sister and she loved her through to the very end. 

Sharon was always tight with the Lord. Her faith in God was strong. She taught Sunday school in San Antonio Texas. She read her Bible every day and praised Jesus for all the good in her life. She was so proud to turn 70 and most proud of her children, and often said “don’t I have beautiful grand and great grandchildren?” She loved her children with all of her heart, they were her greatest pride and joy. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Rayder Pippen; mother, Mary Lou Harper McIntosh; and her brother, Leroy Wilson.

She leaves behind her son, Matthew Martin Richter; daughter, Michele Lyn Richter  who have both said that their mothers faith was the greatest legacy she could leave behind to them; her three sisters, Margie Norris of Fort Worth, Texas, Pam Rusher of Orange Grove, Texas, and Brenda Dada of Red Bluff, California; Six grandchildren, Madison Branch, Garrett Branch, Grant Branch, Pierce Branch, Selah Williams, and Alexandria Dykes; 8 great-grandchildren, Mason Branch , Titus Branch, Eliana Branch, Ezekiel Branch, Noah Foster, Neveah Branch, Ayden Dykes, Layla Mylius; as well as many nieces and nephews but she had a very special bond with Daniel, Chad, and Mandy who loved her so very much.
