Obituary of Debra Ann Kimbro

Please share a memory of Debra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Debra Ann Brewer Dunkerley Kimbro, 66, of Mineral Wells, Texas, left this life on the morning of May 7, 2023.

Debra Ann Brewer, or Debe, was born in Seattle, Washington, on October 11, 1956 to Margaret and Mercer Gene Brewer. She grew up primarily in Dallas, Texas. After high school, she attended Texas A&M at Commerce, Lamar University in Beaumont, and the University of Houston where she studied Early Childhood Development, Physical Therapy and Nursing.

Debe was a woman of many talents and passions. She pursued multiple hobbies including jewelry making, needlework crafts, home decorating and she had a knack for finding good deals. She had entrepreneurial endeavors too numerous to mention. In 2005-2006, she was the manager for a home décor showroom at the World Trade Center in Dallas. She and her husband, Tim, were a staple at Farmer’s Markets around the Fort Worth metroplex selling their signature fried pies, including 14 flavors that Debe developed.

The fried pie business was thriving, which reflected her unique gift for combining artistry with her love for serving others. It grew successfully for the last 4 years of her life.

For many years, Debe worked in elder care and did housesitting on a regular basis. She went above and beyond in her care for people. She also managed large crews decorating homes at Christmas, coordinating weddings, and managing large events.

She attended Northside Baptist Church in Mineral Wells and participated in Bible Study Fellowship for the past 14 years. She was dedicated and devoted to Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior and would regularly lift the spirits of many with her card ministry of encouragement. She personalized each card with words specific to those who needed it.

Debe was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a unique soul with a compassionate heart for others. She never met a stranger and her love for others was evident. Her nieces and nephews fondly remember her laughter and that she always remembered them with special gifts at Christmas. She and Tim, the love of her life, worked closely together as a team to accomplish what God had for them to do.

Debe is survived by her husband, Tim Kimbro of Mineral Wells; her sisters, Dana Panter of Montgomery and Barbara Bowers of San Antonio; step-siblings, Sarah McDonald of Denton, Mason Wallis of Arkansas, Portia Flute of Benbrook, along with multiple nieces and nephews and their offspring. She is preceded in death by her father, Mercer Gene Brewer, her mother, Margaret Wallis, her stepfather Clayton Wallis and two nieces, Jamie and Crystal.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: Tim Kimbro, 580 FM 3027, Mineral Wells, TX 76067 to help with funeral costs.

A Graveside Service will be held at Annetta Cemetery in Parker County on May 11, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2919 Bethel Road, Weatherford , Texas 76087.
