Obituary of Austin John Acquin

Please share a memory of Austin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Austin John Acquin, 18, passed away on April 26, 2023.

Austin was born in Germany on September 30, 2004, to Joshua and Tiffiny Acquin. Austin and his dad, Joshua, shared the same birthday which he always thought was special. He spent his younger years in Las Vegas, Nevada and later moved to Texas in 2021.

He was known for his colorful hair and sense of humor; he loved to make others laugh either by telling jokes or just being silly. He was outgoing and kind, always putting others before himself; he was the best friend, son, and brother you could ask for. He was a big fan of the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team, playing video games with family and friends, and listening to music. He was also a fighter, Austin survived a brain tumor diagnosis staying strong for himself and those he loved.

We are blessed to know he is in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and while we miss him terribly, we take comfort in knowing we will see him again.

Austin is preceded in death by grandfather, Michael Acquin; great grandfathers, Guadalupe “Pa” Casas, Donald Nicolls, John Edwards, and Donald Beckman; and great grandmother, Herlinda “Granny” Casas.

He is survived by his parents, Joshua and Tiffiny Acquin; sisters, Ashlynn and Kendall; grandparents, Stephen and Olga Leyh, Laura Pace (Vincent), Troy Nicolls (Tracy), and Judy Acquin; uncles, Richard Leyh, Spencer Leyh, Curtis Pace (Jenny), Casey Acquin, Chance Nicolls (Brooke); aunt, Chasey Larison (Robert); and great grandmothers, Olive Edward and Cora Beckman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 12, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Azle Church located at 1017 Boyd Rd, Azle, TX 76020.
