Many family members and friends have shared their memories of Billy. Most everyone has mentioned how kind he was, a great dad and husband doing everything he could to see that their needs were met, that he was witty and always willing to help when he was called on. I want to add that Billy never spoke negatively of others, nor was he judgemental. My son, Jason, and Billy were best friends. I would say Billy was the very best friend my son ever had. Jason recently commented that in the past 10 years they have been friends that they have never had a fight (a falling out with each other). I know Jason will miss Billy terribly, as we all will, but he has many good memories to get him through the tough times. When I first met Billy I felt like I had known him all my life. He had a sweet smile, a wonderful laugh and he gave the best hugs ever. He had suffered with seizures for quite sometime. He always knew the day might come that he would have a seizure and not come out of it but he never lost hope and he was so courageous. He was part of our family. I feel his spirit will be with us always. I feel blessed to have had him in my life. I love him very much and I will remember him forever. Lannie

With a heavy heart I just want to say that I'm still in shock. You are gone too soon that's for sure and the only comforting thing is that you are now in a better place. It was never a dull moment with you and Jas together cracking jokes and picking on everyone. Cookouts and football games are not going to be the same. The lord gained a wonderful person Sunday morning but I miss my brother. I know that's selfish and he is in a much better place but we miss you so much Billy.
