Obituary of Mary Louise Cotter

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mary Louise Cotter, 90, took the Lord’s hand and went home on February 9, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born to Golden and Evie Sears on November 20, 1932, in Honey Grove, Texas.

Mary started working at 12 years old and continued to be a hard worker throughout her life. She was fiercely independent, loved being glamorous with her red hair, silver city pink lipstick, and false eyelashes. Mary was quick to forgive but also tough when she needed to be. Her kids and family came before anyone. Her mother always told everyone that Mary would have a lot of stars in her crown in Heaven one day for her generous, selfless, and caring nature. She was the anchor of her family, always the one holding things together.

While we are sad she is gone, we are thankful for the lessons, memories and stories that will live on in the people she loved.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and son, Gary Bradley.

She is survived by her children, Yvonne Lynn Bradley, Tanya Hernandez, Vanessa Ruiz, Rhonda Walton, and Larry Bradley; sister, Sherry Grizzle; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
