Obituary of Yvonne Gowins

FORT WORTH -- Yvonne "Babe" Gowins, 90, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Service: 11 a.m. Monday, Marty Leonard Chapel, 3131 Sanguinet St, Ft. Worth. A visitation will be held 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth. She will be buried at Everman Cemetery following the service on Monday. Yvonne was born on July 2, 1924 in Watertown, SD to Guy and Margaret Flanigan. Yvonne owned Glen Park Day Care in Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoyed knitting, flea markets and yard sales. Yvonne will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Julie and the staff at Bethesda Gardens for their loving care. Yvonne was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Bury Gowins her son, Rick Gowins; her sister, Dolly Seifel, and her brother, Kenny Flanigan. Survivors: Daughters, Tia Flores and husband Antonio and Tonya Allen and husband Pat; daughter -in-law, Tanya Gowins; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
