Obituary of Lovie June Shriver

Please share a memory of Lovie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lovie June Shriver went to Heaven to be with Jesus on December 13, 2022. She was 87 years old. She was born November 4, 1935, in (rural Midway) Angelina County, Texas. She was the second of five children of parents, Paul Henry and Myrtie McLain. She grew up in Texas and met the love of her life Larry Dale Shriver in Bryan, Texas while he was serving at the Air Force Base there and they married on her 19th birthday in 1954. She and Larry raised three children who are eternally grateful for her first introducing Jesus Christ to us. She loved her husband, her children, all her family and friends with such a beautiful Christlike love. We know Jesus said to her Matthew 25:21 "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." She loved Texas bluebonnets the best, but all types of flowers made her happy. She loved all children and babies and got to spend her last months loving, seeing and holding her first great-grandchild, Julian Michael Tepper.

June was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Jack McLain; and sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Bob Skaggs.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Elizabeth Shriver, Pamela Tepper and Michael (Joan) Shriver; grandchildren, Jason (Dani) Tepper, Ryan Tepper and Donna Christy; great-grandchild, Julian Tepper; beloved sisters, Nell (Robert) Maxwell and Mervel (Roger) Dittmar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.
