Opal McDaniel, 96, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, Western Hills Church of Christ, 8800 Chapin Road, Fort Worth. Opal was born on April 5, 1918 in Vernon, TX to Roy and Dora Owen. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Opal worked for many years with the Wilbarger County Health Department. She lived in Claflin, Kansas for many years where she was active in her church. Opal enjoyed reading and playing golf. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McDaniel and her daughter, Sue Rue. Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Edmond; grandchildren, Kevin Curry, Todd Curry, Andrea Morissette, Ryan Edmond and wife Julie, Kerry Edmond, and Blake Edmond and wife Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Jordan Edmond, Morgan Edmond, Brayden Edmond, Riley Edmond, Avery Morissette, Isabella Morissette, and Brice Curry; brothers, Roger Owen and Duane Owen; sister, Sara Lynn Hawkins; and a host of extended family and friends.
