Obituary of Baron Anthony Dodson

Baron Anthony Dodson, 49, of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12 at Southside Church of Christ, 2101 Hemphill St., Fort Worth, TX 76110.

Baron was born in York, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Rubye Dodson on January 25, 1973. He attended Paschal High School and graduated from Fort Worth Christian School in 1991. Baron went on to attend college at Abilene Christian University where he also played football. He worked as a compounder for Alcon for 13 years.

Baron enjoyed spending family time with his wife and children, cooking, and hunting. He will be remembered as a fierce protector, faithful friend, and a gentle, loving, devoted father and husband. Baron's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his wife, Gloria; and their 2 children, Anthony and Marisol of Burleson, TX; son, Damion Williams of Colleyville, TX; daughter, Ivory Thedford (A.J.) of Lubbock, TX; 3 sisters, Angela Dodson and nephew Gerald Harris Jr.; Vonsele Dodson; Heather Maurer (Chris) and nieces Harper and Hayden; 2 brothers, Anthony Dodson and nephew Baron Dodson and Jon Dodson; mother, Rubye Dodson; and a host of other loving relatives, friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Anthony Dodson of York, PA.
