Obituary of Mary Fatorma

Mary Fatorma, 61, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church, 223 S Pearson Rd, Keller. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church. Interment: Bourland Cemetery, Keller, TX. Mary was born in Bolahun, Lofa County, Liberia, West Africa to the parents of Christopher Fatorma and Agnes Sia Kama on March 7, 1953. She graduated from Bolahun Missionary School and then attended Liberian Central Agricultural Research Institute where she obtained a diploma in home economics. After receiving her diploma she was employed by the Ministry of Agriculture and went on assignment to multiple counties throughout Liberia where she taught preteens the course of home economics. Mary sought out this trade because she loved to cook and sew. Providing family and friends with her home cooked meals was her passion. She loved to not only cook but baking was one of her other loves. Mary was very well know throughout her community in Liberia and here in Texas for her cooking. Mary's life dream was to become a mother. In 1979 she was blessed with her first son, Chukuma Williams followed by son, Olu Williams, in 1980. She then became blessed with becoming a grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren. Her grandchildren supplied her with so much love and joy and she enjoyed spending time with them. Survivors: Mary is survived by her mother, Agnes Sia Kama, sons Chukuma and Olu Williams, sister Houda MS Chea, brother David Fatorma, daughter-in-law JaNae Williams, 5 grandchildren Demarcus and Trevon Williams, Jasmine Williams, and Zoe and Asher Williams.
