Obituary of Kenneth Jerome Kennon

Kenneth Kennon was born on June 6, 1956, to, Archie Lee Kennon Sr., and Clara Bell Smith Kennon of Shreveport, Louisiana.

On January 20, 1995, he was united in marriage with Diane Winbush in Fort Worth, Texas. To this union, two children were born, Brother Kennon was a devoted son, brother, father, husband, and grandfather.

Brother Kennon confessed his love and hope in Christ at an early age, loved to study the Word of God and was baptized at Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church. Brother Kennon united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Archie Lee Kennon Sr., and Global Harvest Kingdom Church under the leadership of Pastor Rufus B, Fields Jr.

Brother Kennon attended Louisiana Tech University on a Baseball Scholarship. He later started working for UPS for many years before relocating to Texas where he worked for FWISD to support his family. He later went back to school earned his CDL and began to drive trucks. Brother Kennon was also an entrepreneur of his own business.

Brother Kennon's love for life and God was exemplified through his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Bell Smith Kennon.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his Wife Diane W. Kennon; Father Archie Lee Kennon Sr.; Grandmother Mabel Smith; children Tamika, Demarcus, Reco, Quintavius, Kenya, Natasha, Kenyada; and Ciara James (goddaughter); grandchildren Deja-Simone, Nathaniel, Miaya, Nicholas, Leilah, Grace, Clara-Rose, and Darelle Jr. (honorary grandson). Siblings Archie Lee Kennon Jr. (Helene); May Arthur Gant; Vernie Green (James); Jacqueline Gant; and Gregory Kennon (LueVern)., and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and family friends.
