Obituary of Steven Tate

Steven Michael Tate, 45, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at The Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 S Main St, Grapevine, Tx 76051. Steve was born on September 1, 1969, in San Antonio to Tom Wayne Tate and Karen Tate. He was a 1987 graduate of Trinity High School in Euless, Tx. He was a devoted father, brother and son. Steve was a member of the Loose Cannons Car Club. He was an avid Rat Rod builder and his cars have been featured in many National Magazines and Television Shows. Steve also enjoyed Auto Cross Racing. At Texas Motor Speedway he was known as the "Cone Killer". Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Tate. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Daughter, Madison Tate; son, Levi Tate, and their mother, Christy Huse Tate; parents, Tom Wayne Tate and Karen Tate; sister, Cindy Tate-Ellig and husband John Ellig; girlfriend, Kelly Dempster and her daughter Emily Dempster; nieces, Sierra Tate and Kendall Ellig; and a host of extended family and friends.
