Melva was born on August 19, 1946 in Ardmore, OK to Elmer and Loretta Castleberry. Melva enjoyed people, loved to make them laugh, smile, and made them feel love. Whether they were strangers or people she knew. She never passed by a baby without giving a kiss on the head. She would give you the shirt off her back, feed you if you were hungry (being famous for her yeast rolls, and chocolate gravy), or take you anywhere you needed to go, or let you stay in the comfort of her own home. She spent her time doing arts and crafts, collecting things for a yard sale, playing bingo, talking on the phone, and scolding her kids lovingly, while spoiling her grand babies. All she asked for was love in return. And she was loved. She was so loved. Those lives she touched were truelly blessed by an angel. We were all lucky to have her in our lives.
Survivors; Sons, Paul Tiger and J. D. Tiger and wife Samantha; daughters, Donna Tiger, Penny Tiger, and April Tiger King and husband Josh; brothers, James Castleberry and wife Trish, Dwayne Castleberry, Raymond Castleberry, Albert Castleberry and Clinton Castleberry; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
