Obituary of Garth Madison Griggs

Garth Griggs Jr., passed away on July 14, 2015 at the young age of 52. He collapsed while working on a friend's home. Service: Memorial Service will held Saturday, July 18 at 11:30 a.m. at the Living Water Baptist Church, 201 New Hope Road, Kennedale, TX. Garth Jr. was born on October 12, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas to Garth and Verna Griggs. His whole life he worked in the trade of sheet rocking. Garth, Wade Day and several young boys from around his mother's home were taught this trade by Wade's uncle and Garth's great uncle, Lonnie Stephens. Many of the boys that Lonnie taught are still making their living today in this trade. Garth was never blessed with children but he had 8 children that called him "Dad" and this love of his life were his dogs always by his side. "Your Daddy Loves You Garth" Garth is survived by wife, Tina Griggs of Joshua; mother, Gail Day Britain of Joshua; father, Garth Madison Griggs Sr. of Fort Worth; step-mother Joy Griggs of Fort Worth, Joy ; sisters, Melba Byrd of Joshua and Sonja Berry of Fort Worth; brother Wally Lovell of Fort Worth; nephew, Freddie Tebo Jr ; niece, Steffanie Tebo; great-niece, Emily Tebo and great- nephew, Freddie Tebo II all from Burleson and 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of loving extended family of aunts, uncles and many cousins.
