Obituary of Lois Dorothy Sidle

Lois Dorothy Sidle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Lois was born on April 3rd, 1929. She entered life as the third child of Vilma Lomax Bunton and Fred Bunton, the Buntons were from Buda, Texas and the Lomaxs, from Austin. Eventually there were eight children born to the Marriage of Wilma and Fred Bunton. "Mother" or "Grannie" as she was affectionately called, attended Austin, Texas Public Schools. Mother attended Anderson High School, where she later met and married Robert Jerome Sidle, Sr. From that union, four children were born; Tomitra Sidle, Robert J. Sidle, Jr., Joan Evelyn Sidle, and Sidney Harold Sidle. In 1960 as a young adult, mother later attended a Austin Cosmotology School, becoming a licensed "Austin Cosmotogist" working for thirty years at various Salons in Austin, before retiring and moving to "Ft. Worth, Texas. MOTHERS LIFE IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS. Mother moved to Ft. Worth in 1988 along with granddaughter Sydney Michelle Sidle, who at the time was ten months old. Soon after getting settled in Ft. Worth, Mother was introduced to Marshall Tate, who later became her partner. After a fourteen year partnership together, Marshall died in 2002. Prior to moving to Ft. Worth, Mother was an avid Church goer. She made sure all of her children were introduced to Christ Jesus, by taking us to church. In 1960, mother joined Nineteen Street Baptist Church, where she was an active member attending Sunday School, Church and Baptist Training Union, she worked tirelessly for the Christian cause. While at Nineteen Street Baptist Church, mother served as President of the Junior Mission. THE CHARACTER OF LOIS DOROTHY SIDLE. Mother had a "Sweet Character" and could be very funny. She had a dry sence of humor and was cracking jokes near the end. Mother used her facial expressions to make us laugh. She was a fun mom to be around, however, she believed in teaching family values. The prominent ones to be remembered were; Respect for Self and Others, You'd better not get in trouble at school or you would get in trouble at home too, Politeness, Good Manners, the Encouragement of hard work, and good study habits were all qualities she stressed and upheld. Having a good "work ethic" was the Family's Theme! We had chores and we had Chores. Mother was loving and selfless like her own mom. Always putting her children first. Our needs came before her own needs. Her children were her number one priority. When she became ill, hers' became ours. MOTHER WASNT A COMPLAINER! Even when she wasn't feeling well she'd say I'm fine. Mother could be outspoken. She'd tell you the truth and give you advise, even if you didn't want to hear it. She was wise and did not hold back on her words. By Deeds and Actions, mother provided for us a good role model. To summarize Mother's Character, you'd have to say "she was a lover of Family, People and God". That was mother, Yesterday and Today. FAVORITE PASTIMES. Mothers favorite pastimes were; "sitting on the back porch watching nature". She loved listening to Music, her daily walks, dancing, picnics, trips to the lake, book and bible reading, and watching old Westerns on T.V. THE LATER YEARS OF HER LIFE. Mother lived with daughter, Joan E. Stothart, and niece Chonte Miller, then daughter Tomitra and son-in-law, Jerome Pearson. The two daughters shared in her care, until she was hospitalized during the months of June, July, August, September and October, before mother passed away. She slipped into a coma and took her last breath the morning of October 20th, at 1:15 am, 2015. Family Ties: Mother was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma and Fred Bunton; siblings; Parnell Bunton, Silvestor Bunton, Vivian Bunton Jamison, James Bunton, and Jesse Ralph Bunton; nieces, Vicky Marie Sims and Vanessa Jamison. Mother (Lois) leaves to cherish her memory; sister, Teresa Robinson (Burnham); brother, Chauncy Bunton; children, daughters, Tomitra Langham Pearson (Jerome), Joan E Stothart; sons, Robert J. Sidle, Jr. and Sidney Harold Sidle; sister-in-laws, Charlie Bunton and Sandra Bunton; grandchildren, Len Langham Roof (James), Chanler A Langham (Juni), Chonte' Miller, Deseria Sidle, Sky Sidle, Chrisney Sidle, and Sydnie Michelle Sidle; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
