Paschual Wayne “Pat” Neeley, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident in Bedford, Texas on February 1, 2022, at the age of 84.

Pat was born on July 31, 1937, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School and attended Carlsbad Community College.  Pat married his high school sweetheart, Tommie Dee (Sides) Neeley in 1954.
Pat and Tommie Dee were blessed with two children, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His passion was his family and supporting them in any way possible. He enjoyed any excuse to be together, whether that be church activities, sporting events or celebrations.  Pat also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing bridge each week with friends.

Pat was a hardworking businessman and caring member of his community. Early in his career, Pat opened Pat Neeley Flowers in Carlsbad and was in the florist industry for 22 years.  He later started 3N Company with his brothers, where they built and managed apartment complexes together in New Mexico and Texas. He also invested in Fiber Seal Fabric & Carpet Protectant and had offices in Amarillo, Lubbock, and San Francisco.

Pat served as regional director of West Texas-New Mexico Florist Association, was a member of the Florists’ Telegraph Delivery, president of the Carlsbad American Little League, board member of Camp Fire Girls, member of Lions Club, a board member of the Property Owners Association in April Sound, Texas, and completed flight training to earn his pilot’s license.

Pat will be remembered for his devotion to his family and friends who will miss him dearly. He never met a stranger, always saw the sunshine in every cloud and had an infectious smile that put everyone around him at ease.

Pat is survived by his wife, T. Dee Neeley; children James Michael “Mike” (Connie) Neeley of Prosper, Texas and Monica Neeley of Ft. Worth, Texas; granddaughters Lauren Neeley of Denton, Texas and Taylor (John) Arledge of Celina, Texas; brother-in-law Preston Bartee; nieces and nephews Rickey (Teresa) Wheeler, Roger Wheeler, Eric (Mandi) Bartee, Cindy (David) Osborn, and Paul (Sherri) Sides.  He is preceded in death by his parents, James Carmack and Myrtle Mayedell Neeley; siblings Billy Frances Neeley, James Carmack “Macky” Neeley, Jr., Tommy Charles Neeley, and Carolyn Joyce Bartee.
