Obituary of Patricia Ann Wood

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, Patricia Ann (Rhea) Wood, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away peacefully at the age of 80.

Pat was born on May 20, 1941 in Houston, TX to Mary Hallie (Hogwood) Rhea and Eldridge “Cotton” Rhea. On May 3, 1969 she married Kent Wood and provided loving support in her role as a pastor’s wife. In ministry they served the following: Fargo, May, Hunter, Lawton, Snyder, Waukomis, Atoka, Arnett, Gracemont, Cogar, Union City, Anadarko, and Hinton OK. Pat also enjoyed fellowship with clergy spouses and the United Methodist Women.

Pat’s greatest joy was in faith and her family. She was blessed with 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren and loved hearing about them and all their accomplishments. She always looked forward to football season and could be found cheering for the OU Sooners. In her later years she enjoyed the company of her good friend Dian Hinkle and looked forward to the next time she would see her grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Kent Wood. She is survived by her four children: Tony Wood of Crowley, TX, Linda Peck and husband Max of Hunter, OK, Brad Wood and wife Dawn of Baytown, TX, Tricia Magavern and husband Kevin of McKinney, TX, grandchildren: Leilani, Keoni, Kealoha and husband Patrick Borgens, Jake and Tyler Wood, Trent Peck and wife Sara, Braden Peck, Catherine, Wayne, Hannah, and Amanda Wood, Grace and Claire Magavern, and her great grandchildren: Chloe and Zoey Borgens, Greyson and Sophia Peck.

A service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, OK at 2:00 pm.
